You have clicked on a link that will take you SportsBoards.com, a sports message board service
that caters to sports in Idaho. By clicking the button below you understand that you are being
directed to a completely different website than IdahoSports.com. IdahoSports.com, as well as many other prominent media
outlet websites from all over Idaho, link to SportsBoards.com.
Editor's Note:
We are catching wind of rumors that we would like to address publicly. It has come to our
attention that even though IdahoSports.com is a free service to the schools, student athletes and
fans of high school sports in Idaho, there are some who do not "approve" of us because of a
misconception regarding the message board service we utilize.
IdahoSports.com used to have an integrated message board system. This was two years ago. The
immense popularity, as well as the additional notoriety, forced IdahoSports.com to drop the
integrated message board and instead opt to linking to another, distinctly separate, message
board service called SportsBoards.com. This happened in September of 2002. Since this time
IdahoSports.com has simply linked to Sportsboards.com.
Multiple other media outlets link to SportsBoards.com in exactly the same way
IdahoSports.com does. Yet even though the two sites look completely different, IdahoSports.com
is the only one disliked because of the misconception that we are still one and the same.
Please don't misinterpret what we are trying to get across here. We feel that SportsBoards.com
provides a very good service that is used by thousands of Idaho sports fans. The ability to
discuss topics and share opinions with others with similar interests is one of the greatest
advantages of today's technology. yes, there is a very small minority who abuse this privilage.
Because of these few people, SportsBoards.com has drastically improved its moderation methods.
An extensive profanity filter was added last year as was "The Board Nanny" which allows users to help
police each other by reporting inappropriate posts and users to the administrators.
If you don't like the message boards, don't go to them. Just don't let them effect how you feel about
IdahoSports.com.
